"I've been going to Crossfit classes for a little over a month now and it is really a good fit for me. I love the fact that there is a different workout each day so that I'm not ever entirely sure what to expect. I've been big on endurance for 30+ years (running and biking) and for the last three years or so I've done some weight training at a gym. It turns out I'm sort of the typical "athlete" who thought I was pretty fit. Little did I know! I had done squats and dead lifts, etc., at the gym but had never put it all together in a useful way. Norm and Dave are great about teaching the skills needed to become truly fit and are always very encouraging. There is a huge team spirit involved in the classes with everyone really pulling for everyone else's success. I love, love, love Crossfit and can already see and, more importantly, feel the benefits of it."

"I just wanted to let you know how Junior Olympics went for me! Even though my team didn't do as well as we had hoped, I just have to say that I have never felt so great before in a tournament! I felt incredibly strong and fast on the court, and my coach and teammates noticed a difference as well! As far as college coaches, I got incredible feed back on my quickness and explosion. And had four full ride scholarship offers by the end of the tournament! And I committed to Division 1 Cal State Fullerton in Southern California ! Last year I considered myself to be an advanced Snowboarder and my friends even more skilled. A few times last season, I met up with a friend to ride snowboards. Watching him snowboard, it was so obvious that he had been doing something different, something more than all of the rest of us. My "advanced" snowboarder friends were amazed, this guy was skilled beyond any of us.
It was at that time he told me that he does train and it is called Crossfit. Soon after, I ditched the snowboard for Telemark skis, a ridiculously athletic discipline. I was worried that it would take me forever to get to where I was on a snowboard. It was so difficult to learn the skills while suffering from the physical challenges of the sport. I knew I needed to train. I got involved with Crossfit and with only several months of skiing under my belt, I am skiing expert level terrain. My fitness became so strong and well rounded, that all I needed to do was focus on the technique. Everyone I ski with cannot believe how rapidly I advanced.
I always knew I had the "athletic potential" to be really good at the sports I do. Crossfit is the only training program(of the many I have tried) that is totally helping me to realize that potential. The results are without a doubt undeniable."

" CrossFit Sierra is an amazing fitness program. I am a soon to be 62 year old woman, who has been a gym member all my life. I thought I was reasonably fit and strong until I tried this program, and learned that I had not really been exercising in the most efficient way for overall physical fitness, and health, in spite of going to my gym. I dropped my membership recently, after starting CrossFit. The combination of strengthening and endurance regimes offered by trainer Norm Rager are truly superior to any traditional gym program I have ever been a part of. The warm ups and then, the "work out of the day" are challenging, but invigorating, and fun. To be reintroduced to burpees, squats and pushups, not to mention learning wall ball, clean and jerks, and using the very stripped down but super effective row machine, has produced dramatic results in my overall cardiopulmonary health, and strength. All muscles groups in the body are utilized to do the workouts, so you learn to be more efficient and smart in the movements you need in daily life. I feel wonderful.
My husband has joined me, and we were pleased to learn that our 27 year old son
was doing a CrossFit program in San
Francisco at the same time! It feels good to be
more empowered physically. The tasks are hard but very doable for all ages,
scaled to ability level, even if you have old injuries or arthritis.
