Thanks for your interest in Crossfit Sierra! We offer private coaching and coached small group training six days a week for adults and youth athletics.
The CrossFit program is different from any other experience you've had at commercial gyms. Our emphasis is on improving human movement and developing your athleticism through performance-based fitness prescription.
Most other programs out there can make you sweat. We make you Better.
We coach you in a small group setting, practice skills every day and encourage each other along the way. You will learn proper mechanics for basic to advanced body-weight calisthenics, Olympic lifts and skill progressions, kettlebell training, basic barbell strength training and complexes, and what our style of performance based fitness is all about. We use dumbells, barbells, bumper plates, plyo-boxes, medicine balls, gymnastic rings, pull-up bars, agility ladders and drills, and more...in ways that effectively deliver fitness like you've never experienced.
We also discuss and review your diet on a regular basis. Often overlooked, your diet, or fuel, is paramount to your success - and we can help.
Program Descriptions
- Free Intro - Complimentary introduction - Everyone welcome, no prior experience needed! More Details
- M.O.A.B. Fitness BootCamp - These classes expose the new athlete to a variety of fundamental athletic movements time-tested to produce results. Intensity levels are appropriately sclaled for each person no matter your current level or experience. This is a fitness program that deliverers measureable, broad-based results in the most efficient manner possible. Each training session will have a different objective and varied time exposures. The sessions begin with a comprehensive dynamic warm-up, a skill development and practice period, followed by a workout and cool down period. We’re training movements, not muscles so we’re primarily looking for competency within fundamental movement patterns. This structure of class works very well for many long-term as it is easy to ‘scale-up, or down’ to meet the needs of most people.
- CrossFit Sierra L1 - These classes pick-up where M.O.A.B. leaves off and are programmed with increasing complexity, intensity, load and/or volume. We also utilize more complex movements/technique such as the Olympic lifts and their variants, gymnastic, and more advanced strength/conditioning programming. These classes include thorough warm-up, skill based warm-up/review specific to movements in the WOD (workout of the day), WOD, and cool down. These are coached by certified instructors practiced in movement instruction and scaling so you get the most out of each session. If you are new to our program and only able to attend these classes it is possible to start here. We only ask that you're patient as we make sure of proper form. We will scale your training to make sure you are safe and getting the most out of these classes. Your results are our priority!
- Private Training - Some people prefer to train in a one-on-one environment. We can make that arrangement if you choose. The skill sessions will be similar as will the integration of intensity. If you have medical and/or orthopedic issues, severely de-conditioned, or are interested in developing a specific skill, this may be the option for you. You can always join the group sessions as appropriate.
- CrossFit Kids Sierra training - Pending - coming soon! These classes are not a 'watered-down' version of CrossFit. Our staff utilizes specific methodology and coaching progressions specific to improving movement with kids while instilling a sense of accomplishment, team-work, and fun!!
***Hours and days outside this schedule are available for private, semi-private training and new class development (4 athlete minimum for new classes).
